Who Should Apply?
If the students fulfill the following requirements than the chances of getting financial aid will increase:
1. Reveal all the evidences of high level academic achievements. 2. Students must achieve high marks in prerequisite tests like GRE, GMAT, and TOEFL exams. 3. Reveal and simplify your financial picture before actually applying for the financial aid. In some of the awards, financial aid is not required. Try to manage with private funding to cover some of the cost. 4. To increase the chances of teaching assistantship, try to have some teaching experience in the respective subject at under-graduate level. 5. To increase the chances of getting research assistantship and grants, focus on the field or the interest of research for the particular department/faculty. 6. A student must have an exceptional letter(s) of recommendation and a statement of purpose that directs the impression of the student. 7. Try to include professional writing model along with the other documents in your application file. 8. In case of freshman student, he must file financial aid forms before receiving an acceptance letter. In case you are late, you may receive lesser financial aid. Hence strictly follow the deadlines. 9. Apply to FAFSA, which is Free Application for Federal Student Aid that is administered by US Department of Education.
