Required Entrance Exam

High School Exams

  1. ACT [American College Testing]
  2. American College Testing assessment (ACT) is conducted for the purpose to evaluate high school students to know their general education development also their capacity to complete the college level work.
  3. AP [ Advanced Placement]
  4. This program is initiated by College Board and this exam is recognized across USA, Canada and other parts of the world. The purpose of this examination is to allow students to take college level course and earn credit or advanced placements. If the AP grade or score is very high then most of the institutions grant up to full year of college credit.
  5. NMSQT [National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test]
  6. This is conducted by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation popularly known as NMSC and every year about 8000 students are awarded this scholarship.
  7. SAT [ Scholastic Aptitude Test]
  8. This test is administered by the College Board. SAT exam consist of reasoning and subject test. This is mainly conducted for high school students and serves the purpose of college admissions.
  9. PSAT [Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test]
  10. This exam has the same format as that of the above said SAT exam. This exam is mainly conducted for high school sophomores and juniors. From the junior year itself the scores of PSAT is added for the National Merit Scholarship. This mainly measures the capacity of students in critical reading skills, math problem solving skills and writing skills.
  11. SSAT [Secondary School Admission Test]
  12. This test program is administered by SSATB that is Secondary School Admission Test Board and is conducted at lower level and upper level.
  13. SHSAT [Specialized High School Admission Test]
  14. This test is conducted for admission into specialized high schools in New York.
  15. ISEE [Independent School Entrance Examination]
  16. This exam is administered by the Educational Records Bureau. It is mainly written for getting admission into school. This mainly includes verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, mathematics achievement, and an essay.

College Exams

  1. CLEP [College Level Examination Program]
  2. This is initiated by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and conducted by the examination board. This examination is conducted in 34 different study areas and students who take up these examinations will receive college credit for up to two years. There are about 2900 colleges who grant credit for CLEP examination hence the students can take the advantages of it by saving precious time and lots of money.
  3. IELTS [International English Language Testing System]
  4. This test is mainly conducted for the evaluation of English language. The non English speakers have to take up with this test for showing their proficiency in English.
  5. TOEFL [Test Of English as a Foreign Language]
  6. This test is administered by Educational Testing Services (ETS) and it is mainly into testing the proficiency of English language. TOEFL is mainly taken by the non English speakers for the purpose of getting admission in colleges.

Graduate Exams

  1. GMAT [Graduate Management Aptitude Test]
  2. This exam is mainly administered by Graduate Management Admission Council popularly known as GMAC. For getting admissions into business schools score of GMAT is required.
  3. GRE [Graduate Record Examination]
  4. For getting admissions into graduate school the students have to write GRE. This examination is administered in two versions GRE general test and GRE subject.
  5. LSAT [Law School Admission Test]
  6. For getting admissions into law schools in USA and Canada this standardized test has to be written.
  7. MCAT [Medical College Admission Test]
  8. MCAT is managed by the Association of American Medical Colleges. This is the most important procedure for getting admissions into the medical schools in USA.
  9. NCLEX [National Council Licensure Examination]
  10. This exam is for the nursing professionals. Qualified applicants can practice their nursing as their profession in USA as well as other territories of USA.
  11. MAT [Miller Analogies Test]
  12. This test is conducted for testing the proficiency of graduate students and is administered by Harcourt Assessment Inc. The MAT score can be produced in place GRE.

Medical Exams

  1. USMLE [United States Medical Licensure Examination]
  2. In order to practice medicine in the states and union territories of USA and Canada also including some other parts of the world USMLE scores is required. Hence this exam provides grading and certification for medical graduates.
