Eligibility Criteria For MBA In USA
To study MBA in USA is the top priority for a person who wishes to pursue this degree. Unconcerned with the issues like 9/11, Indian students have the largest group from the last six years till 2006-07 studying in USA. USA is a country in which people not only from India but from all over the world would prefer to get a graduate or under- graduate degree in Business and Administration. Usually, to get an admission in MBA in USA, the basic consideration is the educational qualification, academic achievements, basic skills in English Languages, professional experiences, personal statements as so on.
Following are the basic requirements for MBA in USA Business School or USA universities
Basic Under Graduate Degree:
To get admission into MBA program, normally 16 years of graduate education is required in almost all the USA Universities. A student must have completed four years of education after high school, which means he should have completed four years junior college. A three year degree from the universities of India, Australia, New Zealand, etc is not enough for taking admission in MBA in USA. A person must have the four years degree like in engineering or in other courses.
Three Years Graduate Degree:
A person is having a three year graduation degree in B. Com, B. Sc, BA etc from the universities of India, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Pakistan etc is not enough. A person must have to do post-graduate degrees like M. Com, M. Sc, or MA etc. before going for MBA program in any USA Universities.
Key Points:
- If a person has completed any Professional courses like CA, ICWA, Management etc, these courses may or may not be acceptable to get admission in MBA in USA Independent Certificate courses completed from any private institutions like Aptech, NIIT etc. are not enough for a student who wants to do MBA in USA.
- If a person has done one year course from the two year degree course like M. Tech, M.A. then he will not able to get admission in MBA. He must complete the course before taking admission in MBA in USA.
Entrance Exams:
GMAT:
GMAT is the test which is required to get MBA admission in USA. Moreover, GMAT Score is also considered to be essential to get student visa. Qualitative and Verbal scores of GMAT are getting ample weight-age to get MBA admission in almost all USA universities.
TOFEL:
TOFEL is another test to be qualified by Indian students which are studying in Non-English Universities of India. The minimum marks required are 550 out of 600 in paper based test and 213 out of 300 in online based test.
Work Experience:
If a person wants to get MBA in USA, he must have few couple years of work experience in the domains like Investment Banking, non-profit making companies, sales department, as an engineer, policy analyst in government organizations, as a consultant, as a copywriter in an add agency, as an auditor, as a researcher or an economist etc.
Career Goals:
If a person is using an online self-assessment career leader, then he should know that there are n-numbers of MBA career paths.
