Admission procedures of USA schools, colleges, universities and institutes are exceptionally competitive for global students when compared to other nations. In short the procedure as such is more challenging that is right from the beginning till the end each and every step is challenging.
Every universities and colleges have their own set of norms and criteria and on the basis of these norms and criteria students are being selected. In order to avoid delay in admission procedures for the students most universities and colleges recommend the students to apply at least before one year prior to the admission they want to take. It is recommended by the university that students must apply for the respective according to their choices separately.

18 Months Prior To Start Your Studies In The USA: -
Make out a list of colleges and universities where you would like to pursue your studies. Start preparing for the entrance test such as TOEFL, GMAT, GRE or SAT. To score well in these entrance test brush up you with the subjects at school. Good scores in the entrance test will lead to easy admission in the college you desire.
15 Months Before: -
Appear for the entrance test. Almost all universities recommend the students to take up the entrance test before December so that they can improve the score in November if needed.
12 Months Before: -
After appearing for the entrance test mail the universities and colleges asking them for the application form and their brochures else the students can obtain this information from the respective sites of the colleges or universities. The students should always choose the colleges in categories like: (a) two colleges where you wish to study but it is hard to get through; (b) three colleges that you think it is somewhat easy to get admission; (c) two colleges will be not of your choice but you are sure that it is easy to get admission.
The students can request their lectures or teachers to write a reference letter which highlights the academic background and the capacity of the respective student.
Teachers and school principle will be the best reference for the undergraduate students. If the student is planning to take up the reference letter from one of his friend or any of the spiritual leaders then they should have a good knowledge about the student’s academic background and his capacity.
In case of graduate students they can acquire their reference letter either from their teachers or from their professionals with whom they have worked and they should be able to highlight how well they in their academics as well as in their work profile are.
Request the schools and colleges you have attended to prepare an official document which will highlight the course you have done and the total percentage you have obtained in that particular course.
You can reappear for the entrance test in case your previous scores are not satisfactory.
11 Months Before: -
Students must observe that if there is any delay in receiving the admission form then they should reapply asking for the same request.
On receiving the application go through it carefully and remember the deadlines they have mentioned on it, accordingly the students have to consider the time for delay in mailing while replying for the admission form.
Certify your official documents that have been prepared by your school and college and request them to send it to those colleges where you have applied for your admission.
Provide you teachers with stamped and addressed envelope to mail your reference letters to the respective schools.
An application essay should be written by the undergraduate students to point out their views and opinion about their education in USA. Some colleges ask to attach a statement of purpose along with the application of admission for the Graduate students specifying your past academics and your future goals also the reason for pursuing your education in USA and how far that will help you to be successful man. This statement of purpose is very vital part in assessing your application for admission. While writing this statement you have to be very in your research and your academic achievements.
It will be safer to write in the photocopies of the application before writing in the original form in order to avoid mistakes. While filling the form if the student have any doubt he /she can ask any of his teacher or one of his friends to who has the experience in filling these forms.
10 Months Before: -
After completing all the documentation work like the essay writing, form filling up as well as original financial aid documents. The students have to send it to the colleges where they want to study and these documents will be an introduction about you to the school hence this have to be very neat and tidy and should have good appearance. Always keep a photocopy of the original documents for your future reference. Always be sure while mailing the original documents that they reach before the deadline.

9 Months Before: -
At times it happens that some colleges may ask the students to resubmit certain forms that they have sent. In such cases it will be good for the students to reply for such demands as soon as possible.
4-5 Months Before: -
Once you start getting responses from any college start enquiring about those colleges from where you have got no response by contacting them at their admission office. Always take up with only one college’s admission process and inform the rest of the college that you have decided in which college you are going to study. Request the college in which you are going to take up your studies to send the I 20 form. The students have to make the arrangements for their stay. Students should have a valid passport.
3 Months Before: -

Organize your plan and try to reach the destination before 15 days for the rest of the procedures.
